Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation

Have you noticed an influx of email recently asking you to confirm that you want to receive e-mail notifications. This is because Canada’s new Anti-Spam

CASL

Legislation comes into force July 1st 2014. It will effect most emails including e-newsletters. This important law will require compliance at every level of your organization big or small.

The Canadian Government has a site that provides further details on this however if you still need help there are a few sessions next week where you will get the Legal Perspective on this.

BVO2 will have a session on June 25th downtown, registration is needed.

The Small Business Association of Canada will have an informal breakfast session on June 26th from 7-9am at Rockwell’s Restaurant 1642 Merivale Road? (Merivale Mall).
