It looks like this will be the very first BarCamp for Government here in Ottawa. It’s open to Government of Canada Employees and long term contractors who effectively work as part of a Gofc team. This is an amazing chance for Gofc employees to get together and talk about what they are doing with social media and new technologies. identi.ca, an open source Twitter

Identi.ca is a relatively new service and the best way to describe it is that it’s an open source Twitter. The actual open source project is called Lanconi.ca which has been created by Evan Prodromou in Montreal, it supports an OpenMicroBloggin protocol.
